Nurturing Eco-Conscious Kids

Hi! I'm Bea. I've lived in Montauk my whole life, and I currently go to East Hampton High School. Growing up surrounded by beautiful beaches and a natural environment, enviormental science has always called to me. Participating in things such as beach clean-ups or fundraisers for environmental organizations made me feel as if I was making a difference and helping the place I love stay beautiful and healthy. As I grew older and saw the rising environmental issues more clearly, it felt very overwhelming. Like I couldn't possibly make a difference. This website is to remind you that any small action you take to better your local ecosystem has an enormous impact. Bringing your own bags to the grocery store instead of using their plastic ones? You just kept those bags from rotting in a landfill or the ocean. Every step you take towards becoming more eco-conscious betters our world.   Keep striving towards a better future.
